Job Title: Senior Structural Engineer
Company Profile: A project-driven manufacturer based in the Phoenix area is experiencing very rapid growth and is searching for a Senior Structural Engineer. The Senior Structural Engineer will manage proposals and the bid/award process for obtaining these services and will provide project management and design consultation for all projects. Design to include; scope of work, complete bill of materials, specifications, bid drawings and project schedule. The Senior Structural Engineer will produce pre-conceptual designs with accompanying production estimates and review structural, geo-technical, environmental, permitting, and zoning challenges for projects.
The Senior Structural Engineer will manage outside consultants to obtain assessments of project structural or geo-technical considerations, and to identify the required approvals from Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs). Review the costs of structural estimates, permitting agreements, production estimates, and assessment of commercial risk factors. Oversee the development of structural designs that meet all national, state and local code requirements as well as customer defined requirements.
The Senior Structural Engineer is responsible for engineering, design (using AutoCAD), and delivery of systems on time and on budget.
Job Requirements:
B.S. in Civil Engineering or Structrual Engineering preferred.
IEng status with a BEng, CEng or Meng preferred.
Experience in providing technical support on projects with accountability for project performance and design.
Strong knowledge of electrical and structural design components. Experience in value engineering of construction projects.
Strong AutoCAD skills; ability to CAD & produce drawings for projects.
Strong communication, presentation, and project management skills.
10-year minimum of related job experience, including experience as a team lead or supervisor.
Aptitude for electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and roofing concepts.
Experience in efficiently mobilizing materials and scheduling crews.
High level of professionalism and a positive demeanor.
