The Planning and Development Department (PDD) guides the physical development of the city by preserving our historic sites, planning what can be built, and ensuring safe construction of buildings and infrastructure. It is a city department of approximately 555 employees across four main Divisions - Management Services, Planning, Historic Preservation, and Development.
The Planning & Development Department currently has a vacancy for Electrical Inspector II* Industry and Plan Review.
The Electrical Inspector II* assigned to the Annual Facilities Program (AFP) is responsible for conducting both plan review and inspection duties. This role involves examining and assessing electrical plans to ensure they comply with the Electrical Code requirements before approving building permit issuance. Additionally, the position requires meeting with representatives from large facilities to discuss inspections, identify unsafe conditions or code violations, and provide detailed reports on these findings.
SALARY
Pay Range & Hiring Range: $38.68 to $51.83 per hour.
