ABOUT THIS POSITION
The Planning & Development Department within the City of Phoenix is instrumental in guiding the physical development of the city by preserving our historic sites, planning what can be built where, and ensuring safe construction of buildings and infrastructure. The department processes are governed through development and enforcement of city codes and ordinances.
The Planning and Development Department currently has several vacancies for the position of Electrical Inspector II. This role involves inspecting electrical installations to verify compliance with approved plans, construction codes, and applicable regulations. Key responsibilities include examining both new and existing electrical systems and equipment to ensure they meet municipal and national standards for materials, workmanship, and safety. When violations are identified, corrective action is required to achieve compliance.
Underfill opportunities are available at the Electrical Inspector I level.
Individuals that do not meet the minimum requirements below for the Electrical Inspector II may qualify for the opportunity to Underfill at the Electrical Inspector I level. Candidates at both levels should apply to this recruitment.
SALARY
Electrical Inspector II
Hiring Range: $35.08 to $42.64 per hour.
Electrical Inspector I
Hiring Range: $30.31 to $40.61 per hour.
