ABOUT THIS POSITION
The Planning & Development Department within the City of Phoenix is instrumental in guiding the physical development of the city by preserving our historic sites, planning what can be built where, and ensuring safe construction of buildings and infrastructure. The department processes are governed through development and enforcement of city codes and ordinances. The Planning & Development Department currently has a vacancy for Electrical Inspector II* Ind/PR.
The Electrical Inspector II* Ind/PR assigned to Annual Facilities Program (AFP) is responsible for performing plans review functions in addition to inspection activities. This position requires the incumbent to review and evaluate electrical plans for compliance based on the requirements of the Electrical Code prior to approving issuance of a building permit. This position will meet with representatives of large facilities to discuss, inspect, and report unsafe conditions or noncompliance to code.
SALARY
Hiring Range: $38.68 to $47.01 per hour.
