Forensic Engineering Practice


Three Forensic Engineer studies will be presented:

1.       Masonry Fence Walls  

2.       “So Your Home is Built on Expansive Soils”

3.       Shear Walls and Area Separation Walls in Wood Frame Construction. 


Presented by Tony Gillette, P.E. and Greg Felten, S.E.

Tony Gillette works at Felten Group, an Architecture, Engineering and Forensics Firm where he is a licensed civil engineer.  He has over 22 years of experience in structural design and forensic investigations of single-family residences, multifamily buildings, common area buildings and other types of buildings. 

Tony has extensive structural consulting experience including: offsite structures, single-family housing and multi-family housing, with the majority being in single-family housing including custom and production building----consulting with architects, designers, licensed builders and licensed contractors to develop construction documents and drawings for submittal to municipalities.  This often involves presenting interpretations on building codes and practices to city officials in various contexts suited to the needs of Felten Group’s clients.

Tony has the good fortune to work with great individuals at Felten Group  

Greg Felten works at Felten Group; an Architecture, Engineering and Forensic Firm where he is a licensed structural engineer.  He has over 35 years of experience in structural design and forensic investigations of masonry walls, single family residences, multifamily buildings, common area buildings and other types of buildings.  

Greg has extensive structural consulting experience including:  offices buildings, churches, restaurants, retaining walls, and multi-family housing, with the majority being in single-family housing including custom and production building----consulting with architects, designers, licensed builders and licensed contractors to develop construction documents and drawings for submittal to municipalities.  This often involves presenting interpretations on building codes and practices to city officials in various contexts suited to the needs of Felten Group clients.
