Structural Concrete Repair: Evaluation to Specification


This presentation will cover how to properly Evaluate a Structural Concrete failure including many of the common causes. It will then provide industry standard information from both the International Concrete Repair Institute and the American Concrete Institute on how to properly write a Specification that can be clearly executed by the contractor.

Biographical Sketch of Mr. Swan


Mr. Swan has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Eastern Michigan University and received an MBA (marketing focus) from Baldwin Wallace (Ohio).


Mr. Swan has been with Euclid Chemical for over 25 years and has over 30 years of concrete industry repair and restoration experience. His past responsibilities have included market and product management, product development and formulation, as well as sales force support and customer training.


His current responsibilities include national support for heavy duty and industrial flooring, Western Division technical support for Infrastructure Repair and Las Vegas territory sales. His experience includes concrete mix design and concrete repair.


He is a long time member of the American Concrete Institute and has an extensive background in the formulation and application of concrete related materials used in extreme high wear environments.  He currently serves on several national committees for the International Concrete Repair Institute, including the Concrete Repair Materials and Methods Committee. Mr. Swan is a current member of the Phoenix ICRI Chapter.
